Gourmet Restaurant

A magical place, combining authenticity and refinement

At the foothills of the Château de Belcastel, Le Pont de l’Ouysse lies peacefully on the banks of the Ouysse stream, nicknamed the « Emerald River ».

According to many of our guests, the setting is “simply magic”. The restaurant has been run by the same family since 1884 with traditional recipes passed on from generation to generation.

In an authentic yet elegant atmosphere, the restaurant serves both lunch and dinner either in the dining-room with views over nature or outside on the large shady terrace.

We also organise professional seminars, special events such as family gatherings, birthday and Christening lunches. We host weddings with exclusive private use of the whole hotel and restaurant. Please contact us for details and a quote.

Accessible for disabled people. Pets are welcome.

Your hosts

At your service

Chef Stéphane Chambon

Representing the fifth generation at the helm of the kitchen, Stéphane Chambon is the eldest of the two brothers. Cooking came naturally to him early in life.

Before taking over the family restaurant, he left to explore the world and learnt about exotic flavours, starting at the Intercontinental in London, then Manilla, Bangkok, Amman and Dubai. His cuisine reflects these international influences. Both inspired by his roots and his desire to innovate, Stéphane Chambon creates highly refined and tasty dishes with seasonal produce.

Mathieu Chambon at your service

Also representing the fifth generation of this family business, Mathieu Chambon is in charge of reception, ensuring a high-quality service to all guests at Le Pont de l’Ouysse.

Keen to work within the catering industry, Mathieu set off to Ireland then Singapore for six years, becoming Maître D’ at the mythical Raffles hotel and learning about the fine art of sommellerie. Before returning to his homeland, he worked as Catering Manager at the Millenium & Copthorme hotel chain.

Mathieu is always on site at Le Pont de l’Ouysse to ensure you experience the most comfortable and memorable stay.
